THE RULES
These are the glorious set of rules that apply to our wonderful forum. For those of you who are RP veterans this will likely be the basic lay down for you. If you're a beginner and don't know role-player lingo, then read this and/or this; these posts are credited to their owners and will explain some role-play terms. Thank-you for taking the time to read our rules, we hope you respect them. If you decide to join, may I be one of the first to say welcome, we're happy to have you here~!
GENERAL
1) Be respectful to everybody on the site and do not bully your fellow members. Discriminatory behavior (racism, sexism, religious based, sexual orientation based, etc.) towards fellow members will result in bans.
2) Do not spam, it gets annoying and will be likely to get some chat or pm restrictions placed on your account.
3) All content should be PG-13 since the Proboards Terms of Service requires that. We would appreciate if sensitive topics are given a trigger warning.
4) Activity checks are done bimonthly to clear out inactive characters. If you don't post your account will be added to the inactive group. People added to this group are no longer subjected to site-wide e-mails and are allowed to return at any time, however, they will have to message a staff member to ask about possible changes if they have occurred.
5) Don't copy other people's characters or take credit for their art work. This can range from templates, drawing, photo edits, writing pieces, music or whatever else that can be placed here.
6) Cussing, cursing, swearing or whatever you may call it is completely okay! Just please avoid doing it obsessively.
7) Signature images can be a maximum of 500px xx 500px. All images should not have any content that's above the PG-13 rating.
8) Have fun and if you have any questions feel free to ask~!

ROLE-PLAY
1) No power-playing, auto-hitting, god-modding, or meta gaming. Power-playing and auto-hitting are only fine when you gain permission from the character's owner.
2) Liquid time is enable, which means you can have multiple threads and state that they are at different times, like before or after certain threads.
3) There is no word count, but please be considerate of your role-playing partner and try to meet their word count. If they wrote an exquisite 700 word post you shouldn't respond with a meager one-liner!
4) Make sure to inform a staff member if you're planning to have a character get pregnant or killed. This is mostly to avoid having a bunch of pregnant girls or half the population dying at once.
5) No perfect (Mary Sue & Gary Stu) characters, they get boring!
6) Each character you make should have their own account and the account's name should be the character's first and last name. Username is completely up to you so long as it's appropriate.
7) Each character can have a maximum of three abilities and should look remotely human. Mutations or abilities should not make your character invincible! Two abilities can be large and one small ability.
8) Please attempt to take gender into consideration. From past site experiences we know that non-binary characters aren't often made. However, male and female characters are made often and we would like them to be relatively even. No genders will ever be banned since certain people can only play certain genders, but please consider making a male if male characters are low and same vise versa.
9) If your character has a mental or physical handicap please make certain to role-play respectfully and not discriminate against those who have said handicap.
10) We ask that all characters have a basic understanding of English. By all means your character can know multiple languages or even be mute as long as they understand English.
11) If you're planning to join, but are concerned to because English isn't your first language, don't worry! We accept role-players of all levels and would be happy to have anyone join our community, even if they make a couple of spelling or grammar mistakes.
12) Face claims are not mandatory. Your face claim should be animanga and should not already be taken. Originals characters CAN NOT be random pictures from Google, but may be drawn by the character's creator or a friend. This is to avoid two characters looking the same. Gender-bends are completely fine. Face claims are only meant for the character's appearance, the personality and history should be original.
13) You can have as many characters as you want, but please try to keep them active.
14) Please don't avoid responding to particular people or badgering a response out of somebody. If it has been two weeks and they haven't posted an absence then it's completely fine to give them a polite reminder.
15) You may take as long as you need to work on a character as long as you reply to the activity checks.
16) When you finish your application you should be filling out the claims since they are mandatory.
17) If you plan to have a mutated pet, please make certain that they are not overpowered. We also ask that you provide a list of their abilities in the application (should they have abilities) so us staff can glance it over.

CHAT
1) Please avoid being over-dramatic within the chat, it can get awkward.
2) No advertising within the chat, we have a perfectly good board for that. Talking about your site obsessively and tell us about how fantastic it is will be considered a degree of advertising.
3) Guests can by all means speak in the chat to ask questions, say hi or even get a taste for our community. Seriously, we'd be happy to talk with anyone so long as they're respectful~!
4) The chat is meant for out of character conversations only. If you think an in-character chat would be good for the site, then feel free to ask me (Chibi Magician ). For the time being there will only be an out of character chat since the in-character ones I've seen in the past did not grow overly popular.
5) We do prefer Chatango names that are similar to your OOC name, but it is alright if they are both very different. Just make sure you tell us in the Who's Who claim.
6) Please don't pretend to be someone in an attempt to get them in trouble. Impostors will be banned from the chat.
7) Chatango accounts are not required, but are encouraged.
8) If you need to get into contact with a staff member when they are offline it is best to message our accounts here or to message their Discord.
9) All chat rules here do apply to the Discord as well. The staff are free to make and remove channels as they see fit. The Discord can be found here.
