(NOTE: This is info of what my character sees in this world. I will be making madmen creatures and maybe other things on this thread. I don't mind if you want to use any of this info but please contact me before hand as some of the information I may have story plans for).
Study entry: Mad deer
The first creature that I have seen after the madmen dropped would be the deer. From my sightings they appear normal from the body and legs. The head and tail however are definitely mutated. The tail has grown longer and fluffier, though parts of fur are gone making it look as if it got it caught in a trap and managed to get free. Not so sure if this means there are a lot of traps about...
The head is the clearest sign of mutation. There seems to be a second set of antlers growing forward outward and pointed at the end. I do believe these are intended to better impale whatever is unfortunate enough to attack them. And given the grooves and growths, I would assume they want to shred and tear as well. They also seem to have a weird patch of discolored skin on there forehead. I only mention this because it seems like something is moving underneath it. This I don't know for sure and will require further study.
There are other changes I have noticed that are not immediately obvious. They seem to be more sturdier as I had one of them attacked me, and it already been shot several times by pistols and hunting rifles. Another thing is like everything else around here they do not like people. And they seem uniform in it, On the first and several times after I have noticed they travel in packs. I have never known deer to travel in groups before(i'm not knowledgeable about premadman deer) but what scares me is that they appear to take cues from each other. Whether its to look ahead, keep on lookout, or lead a charge, there is always some signal they give off before doing so. I worry that these mad deer might become hunters instead of foragers, but my only reprieve is that they don't seem to eat other animals.
Study entry: Murder crows
If anyone reading this has ever heard of the game bloodborne, then do understand that is the best way I can describe these crows affected by it. For those of you who don't know, these murder crows are not pleasant to look at. As big as a coyote or wolf, there large with pure white eyes with red growths showing from under there black feathers. These things have wings but can't fly like they use to(at least I believe so), but they can launch themselves in the air. They usually do this when attacking, which they will use there talons on their feet or their monstrous beak. About their beak, from what I have found they are extremely tough. I have seen charging mad deer clash with the beak and found that the beak has little to no damage, while I have seen them tear off limbs in a single snap of them. They are also extraordinary climbers, using a combination of their beak, talons, and wings they can climb up trees at a slower but steady pace. This also explains there favorite hunting style, ambush. Sometimes one of them will distract the prey or all of them will descend in a shower of feathers and pain, using their weight and talons to crush and tear apart what they want. As such I normally see them in tree branches, their caws sound more monstrous then before. The only good news I have is there not too fast. It seems if they try to lunge forward then they feel the need to rest, in which they try to hit with their beaks and moving slightly forward. I wonder if games like bloodborne would help one prepare for the monstrosities they would see now in the world.
Study entery: Myself
I have this here so I can learn and try to explain the oddities that I have. After the madmen dropped (the rest has been scratched out with ink, all though what has been scratched out is about two lines of writing)
