| Dominic walked along the top of the sewer system, black cloak covering every inch of his body. This was the one occassion he decided not to dress in his fabulous dress shirt and tie. When he went scavaging, he didn't want to risk his favourite clothes being ruined. His gold-brown eyes darted this way and that, scanning for any signs of someone watching him. Dominic was often found flying around Nootau in search for little trinkets that he could pick up and use for his inventions. It was in his crow-state that this he saw a little glitter, causing him to diveball and transform back into a humanoid in order to investigate.
It was dusk and there was barely enough light for him to explore. He was mumbling to himself, checking behind trashcans and abandoned cars for any sign of something silver. "Heh, where in the world are you?"
Dominic stopped his search when he came across a grate on the street. It led to the sewage system. But that wasn't what caught his eye, oh no. He crouched beside it and grinned to himself. "Well isn't that curious?" Blinking back at him was a tiny white light. It may not have been what he had spotted from the sky, but it was a curiosity he wanted to explore. So, cracking his knuckles, he wiggled his fingers and pulled a small, cylinder object from his pocket. He pointed the end at the bars and turned it on. A small, red laser appeared and began to cut the metal bars. With careful work and patience, Dominic managed to cut enough of the bars off to allow him to wiggle through.
He shoved the laser hurriedly in his pocket before slipping feet first into the sewers. The drop was far, and he grunted when he landed. His knees gave a small tinge and he hissed under his breath, cursing himself for not being more careful. But he stood nonetheless and took a tentatative, and stiff, step toward the blinking light. Crouching down, he noticed that the object was a small pistol whose little light declared that the gun had "low ammunition". It wasn't a weapon Dominic had ever seen in his life, and so he did the only sensisble thing: he picked it up.
"What do we have here? Someone's been around. Where's your owner, little guy? Well, I wouldn't mind doing some dissembling on you. " |

All and all the pieces were starting to fit together and for the most part Nell felt it was time to go and have a look see into the tunnels for herself. She didn't know what to expect but the small teenage girl was always well equipped today was no different. She stood over the manhole for a second figeting with her gear, it all blended together rather well a black shirt and pants with pockets on both sides more for utility than comfort or style, on her feet were brown boots. She had strapped over her back a M16 the same one as always with a scope on it along with that was her Fn five seven and Browning hi power, on her left and right hip respectively. She would grip the crowbar in her hand and jam it under the manhole before pushing it and opening the hole with a small of the cover. There was a ladder but Nell would flick on her chest light and jump down her altered body absorbing the impact like a bouncy ball allowing her to crouch as she landed and pull out her Fn five seven clicking on the flashlight attachment, she prepared well for this little endeavour and could only plan so much. The smell would hit her and she would cover her nose before letting out a cough and moving forward through what seemed like dark brown water it held peices of material here and there but it was obvious it was nothing more than filth. Before long it seemed like the passages were nothing but straight and narrow. However Nell would turn a corner and lift her gun allowing the light to shine, her hands would tense in moments like this there was no way of knowing if shooting was the right thing to do but Nell didn't think there was a rat almost as big as her with multiple legs protruding from it's sides. The shots would rings through the tunnel and the beast would simply scream, however the one scream would followed by a couple others and before long they were moving through the tunnels at there meal Nell. She would run for the most part, making sure to get a couple shots in as she moved in order to try and slow the beast. It was hard to figure out where she was going there were caved in tunnels everywhere and more and more of the things that used to be rats. Nell would see a opening then dart through it before going into free fall, it seemed she had found the center complex. She hit the floor with a hard thud and heard her gun follow, but she had no time to think she crawled to a nearby wall and try'd her best to hide as the beast came down seemingly unware of where she came. It was the sorta thing you call a blessing cause when it seemed one of them found her a noise from a tunnel drew the lot and left Nell leaning against the wall her pistol in the middle of the floor. She had to get it and get the hell out of here. But just as she did a man walked in or fell in and then grabbed Nell's pistol. She would stand up and move into view. "Hey that's mine I fell down here." She would hold her hand out trying to get the weapon back. Kenny

| Dominic blinked in surprise as the much younger girl appeared from the shadows. He felt alarmed that she was most likely here the whole time he cut his way into the sewer system... but his timing was impressive, he had to admit. To compensate for the girl's appearance, he took a cautious step back, assessing her quickly to make sure she wasn't a threat. Why was she here? And why was she armed? Well, now-a-days you had to be armed with either your power or a gun. There were animals that would rip you apart first chance they got. These creatures were thirsty for blood. But this wasn't an animal. She stood in front of Dominic with her hand extended in the hopes that he would deposit her gun back in place.
"Oh, my apologies. And here I thought I was lucky enough to stumble across an abandoned weapon. I should have guessed that wasn't the case." Dominic approached her. He made sure to walk slowly to show he wasn't going to hurt her before reaching the gun out and placing it in the girl's hand, making sure the end was pointed away from both of them. "If it wasn't for the world we live in, I would question if you knew how to use this. Or if someone so young should even have a weapon. But times are... much different now, aren't they?"
Dominic almost appeared contemplative. His gold-brown eyes met Nell's before he shook his head. "Where are my manners? The name's Dominic. And may I ask..." A spark of curiosity entered his eyes. What would cause this girl to walk through the sewers. It wasn't like there was much to be found but filth and waste down here. But then again, you could find treasures anywhere if you looked hard enough, "What brings you down here?" |
