Staff Auditions
We've gotten a good gathering of members, so it's about time that we start thinking about those remaining moderator positions. We will not be hiring any positions higher than moderator so please do not ask.
The staff auditions will function like this: the current staff on the forum will gather in a PM and state why or why not the person auditioning should be staff. Once we've reached a decision one of us will respond to the thread stating that you're in or out. The amount of time can differ depending on how busy the current staff are since we would like to hear all opinions. We are willing to hire people who have not been staff before as long as they have a few years of role-play, are willing to learn how to do their job and can provide at least one site where they have been a member (kind of like how people link sites they have staffed on as a reference).
REQUIRED JOBS
» Rule Enforcing: All staff on WA are required to enforce the rules. If you do not enforce the rules or allow members to abuse them you are NOT welcomed on the staff team. We do understand that sometimes you miss things, we all do.
» Application Accepting/Declining: All staff on WA are expected to accept or decline application. There should be no bias and if we find that you're allowing friends to make powerful characters, you will be stripped of your powers. If you decline an application you are expected to state a reason in order to allow the member to fix their mistakes. You should not be declining someone because you dislike them or for any discriminatory reasons.
» Member Groups: After you accept someone's character you are asked to give them the member group that applies to that character.
» Permissions: Every now and again a member is probably going to approach somebody for permission to do a plot. It will be your job to give them the a-okay or refuse the plot for the time being. You are mandated to report when you do and do not grant a member permission. If you notice a lot of plots fluttering around then you should tell them to post-pone theirs.
» Assisting Guests, Members & Fellow Staff: You will be required to answer questions and work with guests, members and of course your fellow staff. If the topic the guest or member needs help with isn't something you are confident in, refer them to another staff member who is confident in that. We are a team for a reason. c: Sometimes guests and members may ask questions that you may be unable to answer, so please try your best or ask another staff member who may be aware of the answer. You will likely be asked to assist with plot and event planning for the site from your fellow staff, but we get that not everyone can have muse 24/7.
OPTIONAL JOBS
» Claim Editing: Okay listen, I know my coding is messy. Thus, I'm not going to force you to dig through it to edit claims. Although we do appreciate when staff are able to edit the claims. We are capable to teach you if you're willing to learn. If you get accepted and want to learn, I recommend messaging me (Chibi Magician ) or Cyn since we have plenty of experience with coding.
» Advertising & Affiliates: This may surprise you, but advertising is not a mandatory job. Personally I (sometimes with the help of Finnegan) handle a majority of the advertising and the entirety of the affiliates. I do appreciate any help I can get advertising for sites since it does give me more time in my day for other activities. Affiliates usually get left to me, but if you do get accepted and want to help out with them you may PM me.
COMMUNICATIONS
*Note: These are merely other ways to contact other staff members if you would like them. They are not mandatory.
» Skype: Currently, Finn, Cyn and I all have Skype accounts that we use to contact one another. We don't plan anything via Skype, we often leave that for threads on the site itself. However, these are the simplest ways to contact us when we're not online.
» Chatango: Since we use to have chats hosted by Chatango, we do all have a Chantango account. We are rarely on them, but they do exist nonetheless. In case the current chat has problems, we do have a Chatango one we may switch to. We recommend having a Chatango account since should we have moderation based issues, we may switch to a Chatango chat so each of us can have powers.Audition Form[b]Name[/b]: what you are called around here.

[b]Staff Experience[/b]: do you have any staff experience?
[b]Sites[/b]: link sites that you have staffed on or are a member on. please give us the name of your accounts so we may view them.

[b]Weaknesses[/b]: what do you need to work on? anything we should know about?
[b]Activity[/b]: how many days out of a week are you online? (ex. 4/7)
[b]Other[/b]: anything else you want up to know? do not post usernames for communication methods here! we would gather those through PM.

this is used as a way to detect your spelling and grammar skills, can be other posts. preferably 150 words at least so we can get a good sense of spelling and grammar.
